AKETEKETE is looking for a Design Assistant to join our team in Accra, Ghana.

The Design Assistant will assist with all our day-to-day activities including design, creation of new products, quality control, and stock management. He/She will also support with graphic design, marketing, production, and sales.

He/She will gain an invaluable experience with the logistics of running a small international company while learning about the fields of design, production, marketing, and international development.

About the job:

· Contribute to the design and development of new collections, research our creative brief, identify key trends, and create inspirational mood boards and innovative ideas.
· Work together with the craftsmen/women team to improve practices and make workflow easier.
· Contribute to product development, quality control, and production management to ensure the highest quality.
· Assist in general office organization including stock, supplies, and samples.
· Support of administration needs: errands, production management.
· Take part in our Marketing Strategy and support on SEO and SEM.

About you :

· At least 2 Experience in Fashion and/or Product Design.
· Knowledge and passion for African craftsmanship, contemporary design, and slow-made processes.
· High-energy team player with the willingness to pitch in when needed.
· Strong organizational skills, project management, and attention to detail.
· Emphasis on leading initiatives to improve team building and artisan craftsmanship.
· Experience in computer skills such as Adobe Cloud Programs is a plus.
· Exceptional writing and communication skills.
· Knowledge of Lead-Generation is a big plus.
