The city's love for sport, fashion, and outdoor living inspired Sarah to design bags that would accompany her on every adventure.

One such collaboration is with Sarah Lederman, who launched Bamba Zonke in 2014 after a career as a Graphic Designer and Stylist in Paris. Sarah’s travels across Asia and the Pacific Ocean islands deepened her love for textile design, a passion that she now channels into her creations in Cape Town.

Sarah uses Aketekete’s Tie and Dye fabrics, which are made from old stock fabrics found in local markets and hand-dyed in Nima. Each of these handcrafted bags is one-of-a-kind and draws inspiration from her love for Cape Town and South African native culture. Every piece reflects the beauty of the landscape and the vibrant colors of nature, making this collection truly special.
